Hey lovey! I truly believe that women are the reason behind this world's success and progression. Our main initiative is to empower women on a topic that is viewed as taboo by many cultures around the world. Our intention is not to criticize cultures, but to make women feel comfortable about speaking about their periods. I personally view that having a uterus does not make an individual frail instead it makes us women powerful. I am personally privileged enough to be able to walk to the grocery store to buy pads/tampons; however, some women do not have that luxury. In many countries not having the necessary feminine products can halt a women from either studying, going to school, taking care of others, or working. Our job at Femme Forces is to deliver these goods to these women, so they can finish their work with confidence. Women around the world should feel open to talk about periods, feminine health, and hygiene without feeling shame. Our period is a natural system and we should treat it as such; not as something that is disgusting! Warm kisses and hugs!
Women. May we know them. May we raise them. May we be them. I believe the greatest privilege that I have been granted in my entire life is: being a woman. I celebrate this each and everyday because it is a testament to being a part of centuries worth of unflagging resilience, preservation of beauty and strength and the construction of change through patience. Despite this however, there is still a plethora of shortcomings in regards to accessibility in health, the workforce and pay grades, as well as legislations. My awareness in regards to these issues were always looming since I was a child, but being a part of my school’s program Model U.N program really heightened my knowledge through debates and research of these issues. At Femme Forces, My best "sister" and I strive to fabricate a tangibly intersectional future. The range of these disparagements vary throughout the world, as extremities are seen more in non- democratic countries. However, there is no range, simply a mutual NEED FOR CHANGE, as one FORCE! I am currently a senior in High School and plan to navigate a major in Information Systems whilst have an enduring journey with "Femme Forces" .In my free time, I am an avid writer, political activist/MUN president, Netflix binger, designer, bothersome friend & family member, Youth Leaders in Public Health and Medicine Chief Legal Officer and R&B worshipper! Much Love-G
